Wow, it’s so nice to have extended time to write. No distractions, no sloppy kisses from my two year old Border collie, no wrestling matches from the living room between my son and the same Border collie, no phone, no internet, no work . . . you get the picture.
I watched a family of deer cross the road, four of them. They ran deeper into the woods before I could take a picture. We had a pretty cool discussion about first lines and hooking readers with the first paragraph. I kinda broke the NaNo rules (just a wee bit) to develop a much improved opening line. I promise, no more edits for the next month.
So, I think I’m headed into the woods for a walk. I’ve got some mental preparation to do for tomorrow’s chapter.
